    • I went for a walk after not being out for a while and came down under the bridge between Scotland and England, and was just taken with the light and the reflections, after the rather dull days of September -, suddenly this clear light and the autumn colour. I was pleased to be out there down by the river – so glad you liked the photograph.

  2. So beautiful!! It echoes my views of the Upper Tiber River around the town of Umbertide in Umbria, Italy. I love your short series, such as this one – each slightly differently framed image is like a different verse in a poem. Some day, I hope to visit the River Tweed and see The Little Hill with my own eyes. Thank you for this on-going blog.

    • Allison, that is a lovely comment. I’d been cooped up for a while and just took my camera out for a walk, and the light was so beautiful, I am glad I managed to capture something of the day. I have always liked to look across River Tweed at this spot, and the colours and reflections on this afternoon really appealed to me – so I hoped I captured a smidgeon of that feeling and passed it on to you. Hope you manage to get to the Borders one day.

    • Thanks, Mary. We are both are captivated by the colours of autumn, though here not as spectacular as where you live. I’d been unable to go out for any kind of a decent walk for a while, and anyway the days had been quite dingy, but this day was really beautiful, that clear air you get at this time of year, and the river was just shimmering with colour, so I did revel in it. So happy you liked this photograph.
