Bindweed

bindweed 2

Been away from the paths for most of this summer, and now I find the first signs of autumn as I go up Nun’s Walk above River Tweed.  Bindweed everywhere, and fly-ridden blackberries, and fireweed flossing, and the buddleia almost over; and the first leaves colouring and falling. But it is still humid, and this year there are insects and butterflies all over. Have started  a new story, takes place in the snow.
