    • Thanks for your comment, Chelsea – we were on a day out to a nearby Water Garden and I was very taken with these koi in their pool, with the sunshine and clouds reflected overhead, and the koi swimming so slowly at different levels.

    • Amazing colours, those fish, especially this one, I enjoyed photographing them. I was asked on Facebook if they were “wild” – that would have been brilliant, but I don’t know if koi ever do live in the wild in this country – whether they would survive. These were in a pool at a Water Garden, I suspect they may have actually been for sale, which is less romantic than if they were in a natural setting. But they were photogenic, that’s for sure.

    • Beautiful fish, I never thought koi were so large and so varied, they posed nicely for me. This one was quite a monster!
