    • I like the shapes of tree branches against a background of earth, or silhouetted against other trees, at this time of year especially. I was talking yesterday, as we drove to Kelso, how it is odd how people – especially children – are inclined to paint tree trunks dark brown, when actually they are mostly grey and green!
