    • Usually when I point the camera towards the light objects in the foreground disappear, but the sun was oblique and misty, so the camera did pick up the details of the trees. Thank you for your comment, Gerard, it was nice of you to comment.

      • You’re welcome – sunlight and mist in trees is an unbeatable combination for photographers, and you’ve got it just right.

      • I’ll keep that in mind, it’s not that usual a combination round here, not by the time I surface anyway. I am glad I got out to take some photographs before all the trees lost their autumn colours, as for the last three days it has been nothing but rain and wind, and much of the glory has scattered.

    • Thanks for this, John, I am glad you liked the photograph, it came out as I wanted, ie. the light really did look like that coming through the trees. The trees round here have been amazing these last few days, though with the rain we have had today, and the winds forecast, I suspect that the glory of the trees, especially the beeches, won’t last much longer.
