  1. I like those layers that fade away onto the horizon; beautiful photo.

    • Thank you, Harrie – it was the layers that I liked too – the Chinese used to paint mountains like that, didn’t they?

    • Nice to have your comment, Sabisbiscuit – I too thought the distances were painterly. The summer flowers are fading now, but as a consolation there are these beautiful colours of the cropped fields. I didn’t notice these subtle changes om the landscape until I started taking photographs as I went out walking.

      • It must have been a comforting meditation for you. I enjoy walks in the woods in fall. The colours reflect light so beautifully. x

      • Yes, that is the next delight. Strange how the season suddenly changes, I went into my little studio yesterday and for the first time for months felt a chill in there, even though the sun was shining.

      • Thanks, Sabiscuit. I’m enjoying work at the moment, but need to chivvy myself a bit more. Though at the outset of a project, a little time for mind-meandering isn’t a bad idea, if one doesn’t indulge the propensity too much….

      • I agree. It is easy for us to get lost in that fun wonderland between projects. x

    • Strange how that mistiness gets into the air, even when it is sunny, I have started to notice that, it kind of softens the distances.
