    • Hi, Debi. These were just taken a few days ago – I love beech trees at this time of year, with the sun shining through the young leaves. And they are magnificent in autumn as well. People seem to have a real desire to carve initials in their smooth grey trunks but somehow it looks all right, I think because the trunks naturally seem to have marks on them that look like letters. Thank you for your comment.
