Fishing by Coldstream Bridge

Fishing By Coldstream BridgeThis bridge is the border between Scotland and England.  I thought that the crossover point was in the middle of the bridge, but apparently England doesn’t start until the other side. Though this may be debateable. A couple of years back, when there was a bad winter, nobody took responsibility for salting the road, with the consequence that within a small space of time there was a spate of accidents in one day, and the bridge was severely damaged, which must have cost quite a bit to restore. I don’t know what country the fishermen are in, really. I know of a dog that is adept at taking salmon from the river: in, out, fish in mouth – this is looked on with amusement rather than wrath by those with the fishing rights, though it must be a tad galling for those sitting patiently in the boats.
