Lennel House

Lennel House 1

Walking on the other side of the Tweed, in England, I look across the water towards Lennel House, in Scotland, where Beatrix Potter used to spend her holidays.

  1. Lovely place Cara – kind of looks like a place that would be a perfect place to get the creative juices flowing.

    • Hi, Mary. It is a Care Home now. Much of the land round is owned by the Lennel Estate, and it is great to be able to roam around through the woods and fields. There is no law of trespass in Scotland, so as long as one doen’t go direct into people’s private gardens, one can go wherever one likes, one of the best things about being in this part of the world.
Everything has gone suddenly dark outside, we are one of the places in the country tht can experience the eclipse as the sky is cloudless….

      • No wonder you find so many fun places to photograph – I like the idea of no trespassing laws. It’s a wonderful place, photographs well. Interesting about the eclipse, another opportunity for an interesting shot.
