    • The house we live in is very near the Tweed, but has never been flooded, luckily. Most of Coldstream has been built so that it is safe from the water. The Leet overflows very easily, its mouth, which opens into the Tweed, is just a few yards from where we live, and when the Tweed is high the waters back up. The Tweed too floods over the green. A fairly wet area, but I love to be near a river, especially one as beautiful nd historic as the Tweed.
