    • Thank you, Wendy. I do this small walk so often, but it is never quite the same. This is the only snow we’ve seen so far this year, though a few years back we had tons of it on the roof alone. The North is better geared up for snow than the South, but all the same, I like it much better when it is like it is at the moment, cold but clear. We lived in the depths of the countryside further west along the Border, and one day my son ran in and said: “Look at the fields. They’re PITCH WHITE!” Have a very Happy New Year.

      • Thank you so much for your good wishes, Wendy. Lovely to hear from you. I wish you too a very Happy New Year. The part of Scotland I live in is just a few yards away from England – as you probably know, The Borders have their own particular atmosphere and their own traditions. Yes, having a blog is a way of sharing, and I like the way WordPress works, lots of great images to look at and interesting thing to read from so many different people from all over the world ….
