Rain III

Went out with a spring in my step, came back like a drowned rat.

    • Thank you, Adele, I’m so pleased you like my rainy pictures – I think the smoky layers of grey are rather like old Chinese watercolours. I love your blog, by the way, you marry the images and the words so finely, they are a pleasure to encounter.

  2. Oh so not funny! Although if we got that rain here in TX we’d be out dancing in it, with the drought we’ve been having.

    • Good luck with the rain, Mary. The UK very rarely has droughts, and gets in a right tizz when it does, shipping water in tankers from one part of the country to another in a quite ridiculous fashion. Similar air of hysteria when there is heavy snow. Comes of having a usually temperate climate. We have had a lovely summer, very dry, but with rainfall every so often to keep the flowers watered. This has been a record year for wheat here.

  3. Perhaps a drowned rat–but a drowned rat with a beautiful photo . . .

    • Just caught those layers of grey (with that dark tree to set it off) before I hurried home with the camera sheltered under my Hunter jacket… Thank you for your comment, very nice of you to say you liked the photo.
