I was happy to wake up in early this morning and to find out that this beautiful river is still a border between two countries and not a barrier.

    • Thank you, Annette. I did feel happy when I heard, very early on Friday morning, how the votes had panned out. Amazing turn-out, too. There was so much interest – apparently there were several foreign journalists roaming round Coldstream, including some from Japan, asking people about their reactions to the result.

      • The turn out was incredible wasn’t it, though Aberdeen didn’t do as well as most other places. Yes the foreign interest has been incredible. I just hope now that it leads to a better system for both Scotland and for the rest of the UK.
