The Boat Across the River

the boat

A beautiful September day,  the reflections of the trees with their first autumn tints dipping clear into the river. There are boats moored all the way along the Tweed, with their nets like a big butterfly nets, just waiting for anglers.

  1. Enchanting capture…A mood reminding me of childhood, Alice, Lewis Carroll…

    • I never consciously thought of that, John, but it is a lovely reference and now you mention it… there was something dreamy about the day…

  2. Wow Cara if this isn’t one of the best – gorgeous still water, reflections that deepen the beauty of this scene. Fabulous focal point.

    • Ah, Mary, it was such a beautiful September day, standing there by Coldstream Bridge looking from England towards Scotland – I was glad that the camera caught that light. The Tweed is a very clear river, so the reflections can be striking.
