  1. My first daffodil bloomed yesterday, very late this year . . . But all the more welcome!

    • Wow, much later than here. They are in bloom everywhere. I have never seen as many daffodils as there are round here, each village and town has them as you enter the place – it’s wonderful that people have taken the trouble to plant so many flowers that really herald the spring.

    • Nah, it’s not bowing to me, Doron, I am too lowly by half. I was admiring its shadow whilst trying not to obscure it with my shadow. Good to hear from you – liked the painting in your latest blog. Have a good weekend yourself. x

      • Nah to the sun, we have had rain and mist for days, but never mind, it was a good winter and everything is blooming. I took some pictures of my shadow in the autumn, when it was long and impressive. Might be fun to look up some of these shadow pictures and use them for a post, as a change from everything being contemporary. The shadow selfie. Hope you are in good spirits, Doron, enjoy your weekend. x

      • Enjoy your time with family in Israel, Doron, and have a good journey back, look forward to reading your blog and seeing your lovely paintings when you do get home. Also, nice to think of you over there looking us up through wifi. Hope life is being kinder. I’ve signed off facebook but I’ll try and get to see those pictures. Take care, enjoy your time away. It’s sunny now, here, after a week or two of rain. My husband is just off out to plant a wildflower bed to attract the insects – and to look pretty, too. It’s just near the birdtable, so hope the birds don’t eat the seeds. Thinking of you. x

      • Cara thank you very much. To be honest it is hard to paint here as soon as you wake up and the sun is out… you have to rush and see places and people… but the sketch book is busy and I am sure that few paintings will come out. Hope it is warm and nice at home and you also enjoy your garden. After all it is the time of the year when all the colours change and many flowers blosom. Have a super week and no doubt I am always thinking about you all x
