  1. Wonderful! This feels like an illustration from a children’s book.

I appreciated your input on the Black Santa post. Let me know if you’d like to participate in the Race Around the World (my latest post). I’d be happy to promote your blog.

    • I prefer cats to dogs, apart from the one dog I loved; and since we like birds we don’t have a cat either now. But I do have a fancy for sparky little Jack Russells and met this one while out walking. It wouldn’t stand still, obviously, but I did manage to get this quick snap of it in the snowdrops.

I looked at your Race Around the World blog and was very interested in what you are doing, and will be fascinated to read replies. I do not feel qualified to answer the questions, however, as being “white” in Britain, the white half of a mixed race partnership, I was never particularly defined by my ethnic background. I met with very little prejudice personally because of this partnership. What I will say, however, is that things have changed greatly since I was young. And much for the better. Long may this last.

      • The photo, the snowdrops almost inspire a poem, Cara. I appreciate your sharing a bit of your background. Thanks for the support.
