      • Alway stylish! I have a friend at the art club that went near a swan with Cygnets…. the result is all known she was badly attacked, respect!

  2. I have never thought about the name ‘Hirsel’ before. I have played the golf course ‘The Hirsel’ – is it a lake or a river or something else?

    • A hirsel is a flock of sheep, I believe, or the extent of land looked after by a single shepherd…. I like The Hirsel estate as it consists of such a mixture of environments, and you never have the feeling of being overlooked or organised, though it is obviously very well managed. Its a great place to just wander.

  3. I always love swans…..so elegant and mysterious, and the way they almost glow against the water.
