    • Thanks, Maggie. Happy New Year. I look forward to more tableaux by the sea in 2014 – or maybe the word “tableau” is too static, as one of the entrancing things about your seashore photographs is the sense of transience, that you capture things just at that moment. I feel the same about the light in the Borders, it is never quite the same moment by moment.

      • Thanks for your kindness. You are so right about the light; I am partial to the light in the Cheviots, especially in the winter. Next visit will likely be warmer weather, though.
